POSTER

We have finally managed to upload our final poster!
Previously the title was white, however, we changed the colour to red to signify blood. This is a generic convention of the horror genre.
The quote from Empire is also in red so that the colour scheme is continued throughout the poster. Empire is a very popular film magazine; one of the most read in the country.
The actresses' names are at the top. We gave them equal billing as they are both unknown. However, we used Alice for the final poster as the film primarily revolves around her.
The poster also uses the ideas shown in the teaser trailer of 'Catherine' staring. We used the image in the website, poster and teaser trailer.

Website is up!

Our website is now finished!
My role in creating the website has been to design and make the website with Stef. We used the images that Nat edited as well as adding our own colour effects. We sourced the pictures for the links and used hyperlinks so when the website went live, they would work. We took a decision to make a change from the original design by adding individual red boxes for the tab bar instead of a continuous vine. This decision was made as we decided that it look to overpowering and there would be too much vine. We used the title that Nat created for the film.
Jack then took the website that Stef and I had created, embedded the YouTube video and added vines around it. He purchased the domain name bindingfilm.info and put the website live.
The website that Stef and I made, with help from Nat and Jack reflects our teaser trailer, through the colour scheme as well as the use of photos of the actresses.

And you're hired

Well after our really sucessful auditions that Stef blogged about we have chosen our two actors, Lexie and Alice. Their auditions were amazing and we feel that they can really potray our charecters in the way that we want them to. These are the emails we sent out. One for the sucessful students and one for the students that we didn't choose.

In other news tommorow is our first filming day. Nat, Jack and I will be filming, Stef cannot make it but we have decided as a group if someone cannot make it then everyone else should continue. This means that we can meet our deadline as other wise we would have to wait a long time for everyone to be free.
The shots we are filming tommorow are the ones that don't invole actors. This is because they were not free on such short notice.
The shots to be filmed are;
22) Close up of keys falling off table
23) Mid shot of door slaming
26) Mid shot of pages of book blowing
30) Close up of tap and sink
31) Zoom out shot of sink filled with blood
Allthough there aren't many shots it means that they are out of the way for when our actors are filming with us so we can concetrate on filming their scenes

Calling all year 12's

Well basically as Stef said in her last post, I have been composing a email to send out to the year 12's asking them whether they would be intrested in starring in our teaser trailer. (see below)
Stef and I got the list of Year 12 theatre students from head of drama. Th poster outlines what we want them to do, what it's for and when we need them. Stef and I sent it out yesterday (29/09/09) and already we have had six responses. We have decided that we will hold another audition but we are still hopeful for a few more responses by the time we send out the email. Stef is currently writing it and will blog about it once we have sent it out.
This is the email I sent out

Update

We have a final plot all decided, which Helena will blog about soon as she's having a few problems logging in right now. However, we are currently storyboarding, for which Nat is doing the drawings and Helena and I will help her with the writing and description of each shot.
As for actors, Helena and I are hosting auditions with a few year nine girls from our school tomorrow. We are going to supply them with a script to read infront of us to see their confidence and see who's right for which role. Our group has also decided to audition some year twelve theatre students to see which age group would work better for our teaser trailer.
All of us are also gonna load up the questionnaire Jack mentioned onto our Facebooks to try and get as many responses as we can.
